Position: Seasonal Labourer
Facility: Golden Eagle Golf Club located in Pitt Meadows, BC.
Surrounded by sweeping views of some of the most scenic backdrops BC has to offer, Golden Eagle Golf Club is home to 36 holes of golf. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to add to our turf maintenance team for the end of summer and early fall season with opportunities to continue into the late fall/winter for the right candidates.
This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, gain hands on experience, and be part of a team that takes pride in maintaining a beautiful space for our members and guests.
Overview:
- Entry- level position with training provided (experience considered an asset)
- Reports to the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
- Ensures the aesthetic appearance of the golf course and property
- Both full and part-time positions available (20-35 hours per week)
Job Description:
Performs daily assigned tasks including but not limited to:
- Daily set up of the golf course including; pin placement, tee set up, and traffic control
- Use of small gas powered equipment including utility vehicles, bunker rake machine, grass trimmers, backpack blowers, and hand tools
- Maintenance to bunkers including raking, grass trimming and weed removal
- Maintenance of ponds, cart paths, bridges, trees and brush removal, etc.
- Hand-watering
Requirements:
- Available into the fall season (September-October)
- Required to work on a shift basis, including one weekend day and holidays
- Positive attitude in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to perform repetitive and strenuous tasks with occasional heavy lifting
- Early shift times starting at 5:00 am late April through August
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation (Class 7L Minimum)
