We are seeking a Financial Accountant who is dependable, and eager to learn—someone who takes initiative and strives to complete work with care and excellence.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Financial Accountant supports the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
General Accounting & Reconciliations
- Record and reconcile daily accounting transactions, including sales, revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities
- Prepare accurate monthly journal entries and supporting documentation
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records
- Post entries, maintain supporting schedules, and generate financial reports
Financial Reporting & Close Process
- Assist in the preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end working papers
- Support the timely completion of financial close activities
- Analyze financial records to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency
Compliance Support
- Ensure documentation is organized and audit-ready
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested
- Respond to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and other departments
Other Duties
- Support internal and external audits as required
- Carry out additional duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary Accounting or Finance courses.
- Bachelor of Business or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent considered an asset.
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (internship experience considered)
- In CPA program (nearing completion) or CPA designation would be considered an asset.
SKILLS BASED REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with D365 accounting software preferred
- Analytical thinking skills
- Focus on accuracy with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player, willing to help others within the department or within other departments
- Willing to put in the extra effort to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated willingness to learn
COMPENSATION & BENEFTS:
- The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year depending on experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting or standing while working on a computer for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and is occasionally required to sit, talk, and hear, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by the job include peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus, and stare at a screen.
