Our love affair with the perfect loaf is what started A Bread Affair.
A Bread Affair is a certified organic artisan bakery located on Granville Island and Langley. Rooted in community, agriculture, and the Pacific coast, our baking reflects the unique combination of soil, climate, and craft that defines Vancouver. We are not a French bakery or an Italian bakery. We are of this place, Vancouver.
Our work is grounded in West Coast values: sustainability, responsible sourcing, and certified organic ingredients. We stand against industrial food production, GMOs, and factory farming, and support humane and ethical practices in everything we do.
We believe food should be personal. Every loaf and pastry is made by hand each day, connecting our customers to local farmers, our community, and the land.

We're looking to add a part-time kitchen helper/sandwich maker at our Granville Island Location! Saturday & Sunday Shifts, along with Wed-Fri
Primary Responsibilities:
- Make sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items to A Bread Affair standards
- Prepare and portion ingredients (meats, cheeses, vegetables, spreads, etc.) for daily service
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning for all sandwich items
- Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized throughout service
- Support kitchen production by assisting pastry/BOH teams when needed
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and labeling standards at all times
- Help manage prep levels and communicate shortages or quality issues
- Perform other related tasks and duties to assist production as directed by General Manager
Qualifications:
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Adaptability & Problem Solving
- Food Safe Certification
- Pervious experience in bakery, café, or retail setting (nice to have)
- Detail-oriented
- Positive Attitude
