Job Summary:
BGM Metalworks Inc. is a busy custom fabrication and machine shop located in Kingston, Ontario offering build to print and custom solutions across a wide variety of industries. Our ideal candidate will be a driven individual with high attention to detail and a positive “can do” attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble products per drawings and instruction.
- Welding as required; tig, mig and stick.
- Read and understand complex drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work individually or as a team in a fast paced environment.
Experience:
- 5 years + in a fabrication shop setting is an asset
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Blueprint reading
- Ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
- Ability to understand and operate metal manufacturing equipment (shear, brake, iron worker)
- Current or previous welding certification
- Some site work/installation as required
- Experience with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum is preferred
