Serving Southern New Brunswick, TerraEX is a family owned and operated heavy civil construction company.
TerraEX has been in business since 2001 and specializes in site development, site services, demolition, municipal infrastructure, and landscaping, working with private development and all levels of government.
We currently have an opening for a Foreman to join our team. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team in Saint John, New Brunswick. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct on-site crews, including equipment and resources, to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Lay out job plans and activities to meet production targets associated with the project.
- Ensure jobs are done in compliance with safety policies and procedures and monitor safety performance on site.
- Supervise and train crew members to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage project materials, inventory, and equipment to ensure they are available when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and production targets achieved.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy construction field as a Foreman or a related position.
- Knowledge of construction methods, practices, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Superior problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
- Civil Engineering Technology (C.E.T.) would be considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures and the ability to enforce them.
- Experience in managing and coordinating crews, equipment, and resources.
