Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently across various job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and possess a strong safety record. Candidates with additional skills such as forklift operation, freight handling, and automotive repair are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, debris, and other construction or mining materials to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during transportation and operation of heavy equipment
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, materials transported, and vehicle maintenance records
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklift or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with team members and site managers regarding delivery schedules and operational issues
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience with forklift operation, freight handling, or heavy equipment operation is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment and transportation operations
