Job Summary
Elegant Design Inc. is looking for an Experienced Residential Renovation Carpenter / Construction Worker to join our growing team in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
We specialize in residential renovations including:
- General residential renovations
The ideal candidate has hands-on residential renovation experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, is reliable and punctual, and can work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, and finishing work.
- Install doors, trim, cabinets, and other finish carpentry items.
- Assist with kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovation projects.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Read drawings and follow project specifications.
- Load and unload materials and keep job sites clean and organized.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
Requirements
- Previous residential renovation or construction experience required.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation to travel to various job sites in and around Thunder Bay.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Punctual, reliable, and professional.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with flooring installation.
- Drywall, taping, and painting experience.
- Finish carpentry and cabinet installation experience.
- Tile installation experience is considered an asset.
