Counsellor I Permanent Part-Time

Position Summary: Working/supporting/advocating for individuals with an intellectual disabilities. Participating as a team in the general operation of the residence, including household chores, recreational activities, preparing nutritious meals and personal care
Shift: Weekend schedule, guaranteed 48 hours by-weekly
Location: Evanturel Residence – Englehart
Salary Range: As per the Collective Agreement
Education / Training:
- Relevant education and or experience in developmental, social or health services.
- Vulnerable Sector Check, Class “G” driver’s license
- First Aid & CPR
- Experience working in social services with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Superior communication, interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities;
- Collaborative team player, flexible and able to promote change;
- Well organized, a self-starter, able to work independently;
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a social service organization, preferably in an organization supporting persons with intellectually disabilities;
