We are seeking a skilled Roofing Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and installations on residential and commercial roofing systems. Responsibilities
- Inspect roofs to identify damage or areas needing repair
- Perform roof repairs and maintenance using appropriate tools and materials
- Install new roofing systems, including shingles, metal panels, or membranes
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for project specifications
- Conduct heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural support when needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction techniques
- Experience in carpentry, handyman work, or related trades preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights on ladders or scaffolding
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with roofing systems or construction projects is a plus
