Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our Marine & Powersports dealership team! Duties
- Assist customers and technicians by identifying and supplying the correct marine and powersports parts, accessories, and equipment using detailed product knowledge and inventory systems
- Manage inventory control using dealership management systems (DMS), CMMS, or POS software to maintain accurate stock levels and availability of seasonal and high-demand items
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, invoicing, and order fulfillment, while maintaining excellent phone and in-person customer service
- Maintain organized shelving, labeling, and stocking practices to ensure quick access to parts and minimize discrepancies
- Use knowledge of marine engines, powersports vehicles, and equipment systems to help identify parts required for repair, maintenance, or upgrades
- Coordinate special orders, backorders, and supplier communications to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Support dealership sales goals by upselling accessories, safety gear, and maintenance items while building strong customer relationships
- Assist with merchandising displays and seasonal product promotions in the showroom
Qualifications
- Familiarity with inventory management systems such as DMS, CMMS, or similar tools
- Knowledge of marine engines, powersports equipment, or small engine repair and parts identification is an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and order processing
- Experience with POS systems, retail sales, and basic business math
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain professionalism in all customer interactions
- Previous dealership, marine, or powersports experience preferred but not required—training will be provided for the right candidate
- Passion for boating, motorsports, or outdoor recreational vehicles is a strong asset
