Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:
Offered by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. This course has 3 hours of lectures per week.
Synthesis routes for nanomaterials, bottom-up and top-down approaches, green chemistry methods, properties of materials: carbon nanotubes, nanoparticles, quantum dots. Environmental and health impact of nanomaterials.
The instructor is required to follow the course syllabus previously developed for the course. Also required to use Avenue to Learn and is responsible for preparing midterms, assignments, and final exam. In addition, the instructor is to perform office hours at convenient times.
Required Qualifications:
M.A.Sc or equivalent is required in Engineering or related discipline. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of the course topics listed above, as well as demonstrated expertise teaching undergraduate courses.

*Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
