Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to support their independence and dignity
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols to ensure safety and compliance
- Provide compassionate senior care, including companionship, emotional support, and engagement activities tailored to individual preferences
- Support individuals with disabilities by helping with mobility, transfers, and adaptive techniques to enhance their quality of life
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed precisely
- Perform light cleaning duties in residents’ rooms or care areas to maintain a hygienic environment
- Document care activities thoroughly in accordance with facility policies and report any changes in health or behavior promptly
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience providing senior care or home care services
- Familiarity with dementia care strategies to support residents experiencing cognitive decline
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is an asset
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols is desirable
- Strong caregiving skills combined with a compassionate attitude towards diverse populations
