Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a professional and flawless appearance. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Automotive Painter plays a vital part in maintaining the aesthetic standards of our dealership and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
- Mix and match paint colors accurately to achieve desired shades and finishes.
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and other finishes using spray guns and hand tools.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality, consistency, and defects; perform touch-ups as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination or accidents.
- Handle heavy lifting of parts or materials safely while adhering to safety guidelines.
Experience
- Prior experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with automotive painting standards.
- Experience with automotive repair is an asset.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures is important for handling large parts or equipment.
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques, color matching, and surface preparation is desirable but training will be provided for the right candidate.
