We are currently hiring for an Inventory Control and Parts Coordinator. The Parts Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping the shop running efficiently by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time. Working closely with the Shop Foreman and mechanics, this position manages the acquisition, inventory, and distribution of parts to support timely and accurate repairs. The ideal candidate brings analytical and project management skills with a strong emphasis on coordination and prioritizing projects to meet deadlines. The Parts Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating deliveries, verifying pricing, and ensuring proper tracking and return of unused parts, helping control costs while supporting day-to-day shop operations.
Position Overview
- Work with Shop Foreman and mechanics to ensure timely acquisition of parts and
appropriate parts inventories
- Dispatch parts runner
- Receive parts into inventory and match against purchase orders
- Issue repair parts to mechanics and ensure appropriate tracking
- Ensure all unused parts are returned for credit
- Check pricing (multiple quotes) to ensure best pricing available
- Complete periodic and annual inventory verification
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous inventory experience in a construction/truck/equipment maintenance
shop
- Effective time management, organizational, problem-solving and communication
skills
- Strong analytical, coordination and project management skills with ability to
prioritize and meet deadlines
- Effective ability to interact with other employees and suppliers
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.
- Previous Managers plus software experience a benefit
- Must be able to lift +50lbs
