YLaw is a leading and rapidly expanding law firm with practices in family, employment, estate, strata, and other areas of law. We are currently seeking a polished, professional, and client-focused Receptionist / Client Relations team member to join our team.
As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, polished, and seamless client experience. This position also supports the day-to-day operations of the office and contributes to the high standards of service our firm is known for. You will join a collaborative, high-performing team that values professionalism, innovation, and care.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, permanent
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Enjoy a half day off every other week

- Langley: 220-8029 199 Street, Langley Township, BC V2Y 0E2
- This is an on-site position; remote work is not available
- Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Langley or be willing to relocate before their start date

Key Responsibilities
Client Experience and Reception
- Greet and assist clients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and discretion
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls and inquiries efficiently and professionally
- Coordinate consultations, client appointments, and internal meetings
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional reception area
Administrative Support
- Prepare, draft, and send polished internal and external communications
- Maintain and update client files, both physical and digital, with accuracy and confidentiality
- Scan, file, and organize documents and correspondence
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, courier packages, and deliveries
- Manage office and kitchen supply inventory, place orders, and coordinate restocking
- Operate office equipment (phones, printers, scanners, etc.)
- Provide support with data entry, document formatting, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Support lawyers, paralegals, and the administrative team with daily office operations
Firm Knowledge and Professionalism
- Maintain working knowledge of YLaw’s services, processes, and protocols
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and client service standards at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in reception, client service, or an administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented approach
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment is considered an asset
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience using multi-line phone systems (required)
- At least 1 year of customer service experience (required)
- At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Outlook (required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary: $52,000–$54,000, depending on experience
