BrainiaX Early Learning and Childcare is currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate Childcare Educator (Level 1, 2, or 3) to join our dynamic team at our Desrochers location in Edmonton, Alberta.

Qualifications
- Alberta Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Certification – Level 1, 2, or 3 (required)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a licensed daycare or childcare setting
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Knowledge of Alberta’s Flight Framework and Emergent Curriculum is considered an asset
- Experience using the Lillio app or similar childcare documentation platforms is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Energetic, flexible, dependable, and committed to providing quality care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment where children feel secure, respected, and supported
- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that support children’s cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development
- Observe, document, and assess children’s learning, development, and behaviour while communicating effectively with families and team members
- Support daily routines including meals, toileting, rest periods, transitions, and outdoor play in a positive and developmentally appropriate manner
- Promote positive guidance strategies that support self-regulation, independence, and problem-solving skills
- Build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations, centre policies, and health and safety procedures
- Maintain clean, organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments
- Collaborate with team members to plan and deliver programming that reflects children’s interests and emerging learning
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and continuous learning initiatives
- Communicate professionally with families regarding their child’s daily experiences, development, and well-being
- Administer basic first aid when required and respond effectively to emergencies
- Demonstrate flexibility to work varying schedules based on operational needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the centre
Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
