MobilGrain is a family-founded company, owned by GCM Grosvenor & Bluejay Capital Partners. We are owners and operators of two Saskatchewan shortlines—Last Mountain Railway (85 miles) and Big Sky Rail Corp (250 miles). Mobil also owns and operates 9 Bulk Facilities that serve local producers along its shortlines.
This position is for a Part-Time Housekeeper who is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall condition of company accommodations, including two bunkhouses and three wellsite trailers in the Eston. This role combines routine housekeeping, laundry services, facility inspections, and seasonal property monitoring to ensure accommodations remain clean, safe, comfortable, and presentable for employees and visitors.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. They will be a self-starter who can work independently, identify and report concerns, and remain reliable and flexible with changing seasonal workloads and weekly priorities. They will have access to a washing machine and dryer for laundry service and will be additionally paid per load of laundry.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Operations
- Ensure accommodations are clean, organized, and presentable for employees and visitors.
- Maintain a neat and tidy appearance throughout all bunkhouses and trailers.
- Inspect facilities for cleanliness, damage, or abnormalities and report issues as required.
Laundry & Linen Management
- Change, wash, dry, and replace bedding as required.
- Ensure beds are clean, made, and presentable for occupants and visitors upon arrival.
- Wash, dry, fold, and stock clean towels.
Kitchen & Common Area Cleaning
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including countertops, sinks, tables, and appliances.
- Ensure refrigerators and freezers are clean and organized.
- Put away dishes and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
- Vacuum and mop floors as required.
Bedroom Cleaning
- Ensure bedding is clean and presentable.
- Vacuum floors and maintain overall room cleanliness.
- Ensure bedrooms are tidy and guest-ready.
Bathroom Cleaning
- Clean and sanitize:
- Vanities and countertops
- Toilets
- Showers and tubs
- Sinks
- Restock clean towels and supplies as needed.
Seasonal Facility Monitoring
- During winter months, conduct routine checks to ensure facilities remain operational and in good condition.
- Monitor heating systems and identify concerns such as frozen pipes or heating failures.
- Report maintenance issues promptly to management.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the Eston area.
- Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including lifting laundry supplies and standing for extended periods.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and flexible in responding to changing operational needs.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time position with a schedule of once per week, preferably on Fridays.
- Increased workload during summer months due to higher occupancy and increased laundry requirements.
- Reduced cleaning demands during winter months, with continued responsibility for facility inspections and monitoring.
- Work is performed across two bunkhouses and three wellsite trailers in the Eston area.
- The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring company accommodations remain clean, comfortable, and well-maintained while providing a positive experience for employees and visitors.
