Work Setting
- Industrial/manufacturing facility
- Advanced coatings and surface treatment environment
Tasks
- Assist in the setup and operation of thermal spray equipment under the supervision of a senior technician
- Prepare parts and surfaces for coating, including cleaning and masking
- Load, position, and handle components to be processed
- Support coating operations on industrial components such as turbine and semiconductor parts
- Assist in measuring and verifying coating thickness and quality
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety procedures and material handling guidelines
- Record basic production and process data as required
- thermal spray processes including HVOF and plasma spray systems, industrial robotics programming through on-the-job training
Equipment and Machinery Experience
- Industrial thermal spray equipment including industrial robot (training provided)
- Basic hand and power tools
