About the role:
- The driver will work alone in most cases and will drive a well-maintained truck to our customers' sites (primarily industrial or any organization that generates wastes that must be disposed of in a legal manner).
- Prepare the waste inventory for safe transportation.
- Properly complete paperwork (Bill of Lading, Ontario Waste Manifest), labelling and quality control to identify goods loaded for transport.
- Areas serviced in Canada can go as far west as Alberta and as far east as Nova Scotia. Driving in the U.S required. FAST Card required***
- Early starts required varying between 5am-7am.
- Average between 45-55 hours per week.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 2 years of A-Z driving experience.
- Valid FAST card.
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission - 13 & 18 speed.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Experience with hauling dangerous goods/hazardous loads, and operating equipment such as Vac-Tanker, Dump Trailer and Shell Tanker very beneficial.
- Reasonable physical exertion is required, such as climbing in and out of trucks and pushing loaded pallet trucks short distances.
