Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of construction, including concrete forming, restoration, siding, carpentry, and the operation of equipment/handling of tools. This role involves working on diverse projects that require proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures using concrete forming, siding, carpentry, and woodworking skills
- Operate equipment safely to assist with excavation, lifting, and material handling
- Perform concrete finishing tasks to ensure smooth surfaces and proper curing
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction activities
- Conduct restoration work as needed to maintain building integrity and aesthetics
- Engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks to support project requirements
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment during all phases of construction
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, concrete finishing, or general laborer.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment and power tools preferred
- Knowledge of concrete forming, siding installation, restoration techniques, and woodworking highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with construction schematics and technical drawings is advantageous
