Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental specialty practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of dental office workflows, and proficiency with practice management softwares. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent patient care, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing the practice’s efficiency. The Dental Practice Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a positive environment for both staff and patients while ensuring the practice runs smoothly and profitably.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
- Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Oversee billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using practice management software.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws such as HIPAA.
- Facilitate effective communication between clinical staff, administrative team, and patients to promote a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and quality of care.
- Coordinate with external vendors or service providers as needed for equipment maintenance or supplies.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies relevant to dental office management.
Experience
- Proven experience managing a dental or medical office is required; experience with Periodontics and Prosthodontics is an asset.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and dental office workflows.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, billing procedures, and insurance processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture.
