You've spent years making other people's clubs feel like home, learning every member's name, reading a room, turning a guest list into a community. This is your chance to own the room. Your city, your members, your book of business, and the chance to finally get paid for the relationships only you can build.
The Founders Club is hiring a Chapter Leader to be the face, heartbeat, and concierge of our Toronto community. You won't be staffing someone else's front desk. You'll be the founder of a chapter.
About the Founders Club
We're a private community of 1,700+ entrepreneurs, from growth-stage operators to established business owners to founders who've already exited. They're the kind of people you'd be proud to have on your guest list, and they join us for one reason above all others: peer community. It's the single most requested thing across our membership, and the antidote to what founders quietly struggle with most: the isolation of building something with no one around them who truly gets it.
Your job is to solve that. Not with an app. With hospitality, judgment, and relationships.
What you'll own
This is a book-of-business role. You own the health of the Toronto membership end to end: its size, its engagement, its renewals, and how loudly your members recommend us to other founders.
Concretely, you'll:
- Welcome every new member personally with a white-glove onboarding: a real conversation to understand their business, their goals, and exactly who they need to meet.
- Curate introductions like a great host curates a table. You'll learn each member's "asks" and "gives" and connect the right people at the right moment, the intro they didn't know they needed.
- Host beautifully. Dinners, salons, roundtables, masterminds, and socials across the city. You set the tone, work the room, and make every member feel like the most important person in it.
- Chase down the quiet ones. When a member drifts, you take it personally, and bring them back with the right call, the right invite, the right connection.
- Own retention and growth. Keep your members so well taken care of that leaving is unthinkable, and so delighted they bring their founder friends with them.
- Be their person. Big wins, hard seasons, the 9pm "do you know anyone who…" text. You're who they reach for.
- You'll thrive here if you Are genuinely energized by people: a room full of strangers is your idea of a good time, not a tax.
- Live to serve. You get a real high from being useful, from the perfect introduction, from a night that lands.
- Are status-comfortable but not status-seeking: you can hold court with a nine-figure founder and keep the spotlight on them.
- Have carried a number (a renewal, retention, or growth target) and liked it. A member slipping away felt personal, and you chased it.
- Follow through cheerfully: warm enough to open the door, organized enough to actually make the intro on Monday.
The background we're hunting
We're especially interested in people from the private members' club and hospitality world:
Membership Directors, Heads of Membership, and Member Experience leads from places like Soho House, The Spoke Club, top private city and golf clubs, or the GM / maître d' of a restaurant where you knew every regular by name.
3-6 years in membership, hospitality, events, partnerships, or relationship-driven account management is the sweet spot. Bonus points if you've managed relationships inside a CRM (we run on GoHighLevel, or GHL) and you're proficient with modern AI tools, the kind of person who happily lets technology handle the busywork so you can spend more time with members. If you've ever built a community people couldn't stop coming back to, even a supper club or a waitlisted Friday night, we want to hear about it.
The Toronto specifics
Toronto is Canada's largest startup ecosystem and the financial heart of the country: a deep, multicultural bench of founders across fintech, AI, SaaS, real estate, and professional services.
Your members will cluster in the downtown core, King West, Liberty Village, the Financial District, and Yorkville, with a strong presence across the broader GTA.
This is a hybrid role, and the travel is the fun part: no two days are alike. You'll move across the city constantly for coffees, dinners, member offices, and events, with occasional trips to connect with leaders from other Founders Club chapters. If a fixed desk sounds like a cage, you're exactly who we want.
Compensation & what's in it for you
- Competitive base salary (CAD) + performance bonus tied directly to the retention, growth, and engagement of your book. Your relationships, your upside.
- A real expense budget to host your members beautifully. Genuine ownership: you're building and growing a chapter, not maintaining one.
- Your days spent around impressive founders, doing the thing you'd do for free anyway.
