The Opportunity
Secure Orbit Inc. is looking for a Welder/Fitter who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in delivering precision and efficiency. Job duties include:
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
- May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing and soldering equipment
- Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
Specific tool use proficiency:
- Aluminum welding spool gun
- Steel welding Mig
- Band saw
- Tape measure
- Belt sander
- Angle grinder
- Drill press
- Variety of other manual and hand tools
Nice to have candidate qualifications:
- Successful completion of college level welding techniques course
- Journeyman fitter welder status
- Class one fork lift certification
- Valid G license
- Possession of your own PPE and welding helmet
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
