Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and experience working with children. This role involves inspiring students through engaging art lessons, fostering creativity, and supporting their artistic development in a nurturing environment. The Art Instructor will contribute to a positive learning atmosphere and help students explore their artistic talents across various mediums.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to different age groups, especially children
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Prepare art materials and manage classroom supplies efficiently
- Guide students through various art projects, techniques, and styles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote growth
Qualifications
- Experience in tutoring or teaching art, preferably with children or in early childhood education settings
- Strong classroom experience with the ability to manage group dynamics effectively
- Knowledge of various art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, or crafts
- Working with children skills to foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and adapt lessons to different learning styles
- Passion for arts education and a commitment to nurturing young artists’ talents
In addition, candidates must have:
- A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience teaching art classes, workshops, camps, or creative programs.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or coursework.
- Experience teaching children ages 3–6.
- Experience in a daycare, preschool, kindergarten, after-school program, art studio, or summer camp setting
Pay: $15.00-$43.72 per hour
