We seeking local and Fly in/Fly out employees. We are open to customize shift lengths, but ideal 6 weeks in and 2 weeks out. The job is based in Yellowknife NT and surrounding communities.
We are seeking a skilled Mud/Tape/Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. The Painter will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Drywall Finishes (Mud/tape/sanding/painting)
- Caulking and painting Trim work
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of painting with overall project goals.
- Restore and maintain existing paintwork on various structures, including drywall and industrial surfaces.
- Utilize hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Experience with other construction related tasks, such as flooring & Trim work would be an asset.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial painting processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and painting equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
