Shop & Equipment Maintenance Technician
We are currently seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Shop & Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient shop while performing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic mechanical repairs on vehicles and machinery.
The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, hands-on, and capable of working independently to keep equipment and operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard
- Organize tools, equipment, parts, and inventory
- Perform basic maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with repairs
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Change fluids, grease equipment, replace filters, and complete minor repairs
- Assist with loading, unloading, and preparing equipment for crews
- Ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained and operational
- Track maintenance schedules and report larger repair needs
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Mechanical experience with equipment, vehicles, or small engines
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose basic mechanical issues
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Heavy equipment or construction industry experience is an asset
