Security Coordinator - Full Time - Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital
Site Overview: Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital is a leading rehabilitation and complex continuing care hospital focused on helping patients recover, regain independence, and transition back to the community.
Position: Security Coordinator
Hours: Monday to Friday (0800-1600)
Payrate: $30.52/hr.
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is ESA

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the on-site security team, including scheduling, performance management, and coaching

Oversee daily security operations, ensuring coverage, compliance, and service delivery standards are met

Act as the primary point of contact for hospital leadership and internal stakeholders

Respond to and manage incidents, including emergencies, patient escalations, and security concerns

Ensure all officers are following site-specific policies, procedures, and healthcare protocols

Monitor incident trends and develop proactive strategies to address risks and improve service delivery

Conduct site audits, post inspections, and ensure documentation and reporting standards are maintained

Support onboarding, training, and development of security staff

Collaborate closely with clinical teams, facilities, and external partners as required

Maintain a strong, professional presence and support a respectful, patient-focused environment
WHAT YOU BRING
-
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within security (healthcare experience strongly preferred)

Valid Ontario Security Guard License

Valid First Aid & CPR certification
-
Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella , Covid Vaccine two doses, and two step TB skin test
-
Must be able to be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testing

Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills

Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a professional manner

Strong understanding of report writing, investigations, and incident management
-
Experience working in a unionized or large-scale environment is an asset
-
Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services will be an asset

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
