Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our private clinic. This role involves providing occupational therapy services to paediatric clients, supporting their developmental and functional goals through compassionate and individualized interventions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and their caregivers, excellent communication skills, creativity and solid clinical reasoning along with knowledge about child/youth development within a person-occupation-environment framework. Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate paediatric clients' physical, social-emotional and cognitive abilities to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at supporting motor skills, sensory processing, social-emotional well being in areas of self-care and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with family and community supports as well as colleagues professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Document using JaneApp accurately, in a timely manner and maintain detailed records in compliance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support ongoing development at home.
- Participate in our clinic team meetings to discuss progress quality of care and plan future directions for the clinic.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatrics during undergrad studies or since working as a clinician.
- Prior experience is preferred however mentoring with a senior therapist will be offered to meet the needs of the qualified applicant.
- Strong knowledge of autism, nervous system and sensory system states, attachment theory, co-regulation and self-regulation concepts, trauma-informed therapy and paediatric developmental milestones.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and our clinic team members.
- Ability to work compassionately with children experiencing a range of developmental challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
