Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Utility Locator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of underground infrastructure, safety protocols, and the operation of various heavy and hand tools. The Utility Locator plays a critical part in preventing damage to utilities and ensuring project safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Locate and mark underground utilities using specialized equipment and techniques
- Interpret utility maps, blueprints, and technical drawings to identify underground lines
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of utility locating experience
- Experience locating underground electrical, telecommunications, gas, water, and sewer utilities
- Proficient with electromagnetic locating equipment and utility locating best practices
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
Skills
- Knowledge of underground utility systems and safety protocols for utility locating
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Physically fit
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, project managers and clients.

Pay: $71,000.00-$77,000.00 per year
