Litigation Associate | Coal Harbour Law
The Opportunity Coal Harbour Law is growing, and we’re looking for a litigation associate (3–5 year call) to join our expanding team.
This is an ideal role for a lawyer who has developed a solid foundation in litigation and is ready for more responsibility, client exposure, and file ownership—without sacrificing mentorship or balance. You’ll work closely with experienced litigators while taking a meaningful role in advancing files, appearing in court, and building your own practice.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and advance a diverse litigation caseload with increasing autonomy
- Draft pleadings, applications, and written submissions
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Attend chambers applications, discoveries, mediations, and trials
- Work directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Collaborate closely with senior counsel for guidance and mentorship
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of litigation experience (BC call preferred)
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Confidence managing files and communicating with clients
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Interest in building a long-term practice in a collaborative environment

- Competitive compensation in the range of $130,000–$170,000, depending on experience
