Under the supervision of the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef, the Dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, allowing the culinary team to focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Wash dishes, utensils, refrigerators, warming units, carts, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure cooks always have the plates, cutlery, and kitchenware they need.
- Sort, stack, load, and unload the dishwasher, and store clean items properly.
- Clean dishwashing machines, floors, and work surfaces daily.
- Remove garbage from food service areas.
- Remove and inventory broken or damaged items.
- Maintain clean and dry floors at all times.
- Ensure soap, paper products, and cleaning supplies are adequately stocked.
- Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations (MAPAQ, WHMIS).
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dishwasher.
- Responsible and reliable.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to communicate in French and English, both spoken and written.
