Child and Youth Caregiver – Group Home Program
Location: Edmonton, AB
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Relief (customize as needed)
Current Availability Needed - BLOCKED SCHEDULE - LIVE IN
Compensation - Day hours = 18.50hr
Night/sleep = 17.00 hr
Rotation A : starts 7am Mondays & Tuesdays end 7pm = [ NEEDED] 36hrs
Rotation B: 7pm Tuesdays -Thursdays 7am [Filled]
Rotation C : Starts 7am Thursday, Friday Saturday till 7pm = 60hrs [Team lead candidate] [NEEDED].
Rotation D : Saturday 7pm - Monday 7am = 36hrs [ Filled]

Restore Child & Youth Care provides safe, nurturing, and structured home environments for children and youth who have experienced trauma, disrupted placements, or require additional support. Our programs focus on stability, cultural connection, skill building, and individualized care through trauma-informed and strength-based practices.
Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated, reliable, and compassionate Child and Youth Caregivers to join our team. Caregivers play a vital role in supporting children and youth with daily living, emotional regulation, routines, and personal growth while maintaining a safe and supportive home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision, guidance, and support to children and youth in care
- Implement trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches
- Support youth with routines, school attendance, appointments, and community activities
- Complete documentation, incident reports, shift notes, and care logs as required
- Assist with household cleaning, meal prep, and maintaining home safety
- Manage crisis situations using approved policies and non-violent intervention strategies
- Work collaboratively with the team, supervisors, and external professionals
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Child and Youth Care Diploma, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (asset but not required for some roles)
- Experience in group homes, residential care, or working with high-needs youth preferred
- Valid First Aid/CPR Level C
- Police Clearance + Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
- Child Intervention Check (required)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (asset)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnights (as needed)
