Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to support our administrative team. The ideal candidate will have strong clerical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with various office software. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and customer service are essential. Prior experience in medical or dental offices is a plus, but not required.
Duties
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
- Handle filing, document proofreading, and general administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries professionally and courteously
- Assist with appointment scheduling and calendar management for staff members
- Support bookkeeping activities and prepare reports as needed
- Maintain organized office environment and ensure all supplies are stocked
- Support medical or dental office functions, including patient check-in/check-out procedures and insurance documentation when applicable
Requirements
- Proven experience with office administration, clerical tasks, or customer service roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective phone etiquette and communication skills for front desk interactions
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently, including typing and proofreading tasks
- Prior experience in medical or dental offices is preferred but not mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or bookkeeping certifications are a plus
Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour
