About Us
LT Woodworks is a painting and surface refinishing company based in Fordwich, Ontario. We take pride in quality craftsmanship across interior and exterior painting, kitchen cabinet refinishing, floor and deck refinishing, and furniture refinishing. As we grow, we're looking for a skilled and reliable painter/refinisher to join our team.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces (walls, trim, siding, etc.)
- Refinish kitchen cabinets, including sanding, staining, and spraying/brushing finishes
- Restore and refinish floors, decks, and furniture pieces
- Properly prep surfaces (sanding, patching, priming, masking) to ensure a professional finish
- Mix and match paint colors and finishes accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Communicate professionally with clients and represent LT Woodworks with a strong work ethic
- Transport and set up equipment/materials at job sites as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in painting, refinishing, or a related trade (required/preferred — adjust as needed)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Comfortable working with sprayers, brushes, and hand/power sanding tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work on ladders/scaffolding
- Punctual, dependable, and customer-focused attitude
Nice to Have
- Experience with cabinet refinishing or furniture restoration specifically
- Knowledge of different paint products/finishes (e.g., lacquer, conversion varnish, latex, oil-based)
- Basic carpentry or woodworking skills
