We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and oversee the Opioid Therapy Program and Hepatitis C Program at our facility. This is a key role within our multidisciplinary team, focused on delivering high-quality, person-centered care to individuals receiving opioid therapy. The RN will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, collecting and documenting relevant health and psychosocial information, and collaborating with the prescribing clinician through regular case conferences. Working closely with healthcare providers, mental health professionals, and correctional staff, the RN will help ensure a holistic approach to recovery and wellness. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the Opioid Therapy Program and Hepatitis C program. Perform detailed nursing assessments and gather accurate patient histories. Coordinate and participate in case conferences with prescribers to support safe and effective care planning. Monitor treatment response and document progress. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support the physical, emotional, and social health needs of patients. Advocate for and support a nonjudgmental, trauma-informed approach to care. Demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills in a dynamic setting. Maintain accurate and timely health records in accordance with policy and privacy standards. Discharge planning and admissions.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 - $55.79 per hour. Upon being entered into the register as a Registered Nurse, the rate of pay will be adjusted in accordance with the UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:
Current registration and good standing with CRNA. Experience in addiction, mental health, or correctional healthcare considered an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain nonjudgmental, empathetic, and professional in all patient interactions. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
