About Nicola Real Estate:
Nicola Real Estate, the real estate division of Nicola Wealth, manages over $10 billion (as of December 31, 2025) of commercial real estate in Canada and the United States, on behalf of both private and institutional investors. The team of experienced real estate professionals manage a diverse portfolio of industrial, office, retail, multifamily, seniors housing and self-storage properties, leveraging our institutional calibre investment platform, processes and operations.
Nicola Real Estate is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development & Construction Coordinator to support the delivery of real estate projects across the full project lifecycle from early-stage development through construction and project close-out. This is a hybrid role working closely with both Development and Construction teams, providing critical support in project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
This is an on-site role located in our Vancouver Real Estate office.
Development (Pre-Construction)
- Coordinate due diligence activities and consultants (planning, environmental, survey, geotechnical).
- Track approvals, submissions, and municipal processes (rezoning, DP, BP).
- Support design coordination and maintain drawing logs.
- Assist with development budgets, proformas, schedules and consultant invoice tracking.
- Organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence.
Construction
- Support tendering and procurement processes, including bid coordination.
- Maintain construction logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders).
- Track schedules, milestones, and construction progress.
- Assist with monthly draws, cost reporting, and budget tracking.
- Coordinate communication between consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Project Controls & Coordination
- Maintain organized document control systems across projects.
- Prepare meeting minutes, action logs, and project reports.
- Support coordination between Development, Construction, and Finance teams.
- Assist with project close-out, deficiencies, and turnover documentation.
- A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in real estate development, construction, or project coordination.
- Completion of Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Real Estate, or related field is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project/document management tools (e.g., Procore, SharePoint).
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.
This position comes with a competitive base salary hiring range of $70,000 - $90,000, dependent on experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity.
