Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Roofing Shingler/Laborer to join our construction team in <LOCATION>. This role involves assisting with roofing projects, supporting the installation of shingles, and performing general labor tasks on job sites. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, eager to learn, and committed to safety and quality workmanship.
Duties
- Assist with the installation of roofing shingles and materials according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives to complete roofing tasks
- Support carpentry and framing work related to roofing projects
- Perform heavy lifting of materials, equipment, and debris safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints or project plans to ensure proper installation procedures
- Apply caulking or sealants as needed for waterproofing and sealing purposes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
- Support handyman tasks around the job site as required
Experience
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or carpentry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Handyman experience or related skills will be considered an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Prior experience in roofing or general labor roles is advantageous but not mandatory
