Beyond that, we need people who show up on time and work hard. If that's you, we'll train you and pay you well.
Who we are:
Royal Coatings is an Ottawa-based epoxy and polyaspartic floor coating company. Residential garages, basements, commercial warehouses, and large specialty projects. Small, hands-on operation — your work gets noticed here, good and bad.
We're bringing in 2–3 installers to train properly and build into a reliable crew. The plan is simple — find people who are good to work with, teach them the trade the right way, and grow together.
What the work actually looks like:
On site by 7:30–8am. Working with 1–2 other crew members including the site lead. The job involves:
- Diamond grinding concrete floors for surface prep
- Patching cracks and imperfections
- Mixing and applying epoxy and polyaspartic coatings
- Broadcast work — spreading decorative flake or quartz into wet coating
- Cleaning and loading equipment at end of day
You'll be on your feet and on your knees in garages and commercial spaces. Some days are straightforward, some require problem-solving on the fly. Our quality standards are high and we don't cut corners.
What we're looking for:
- Own vehicle — mandatory, Ottawa and surrounding area job sites
- Physically fit and comfortable with demanding manual labour
- Willing to take direction and follow process
- Punctual — the crew depends on everyone showing up when they said they would
- Honest — if something goes wrong on site we need to know
- Experience in any trade, construction, flooring, or painting is an asset — but we will train the right person from scratch

On the structure:
We start people part-time so we can train properly and see how people work before moving to full-time. If you come in, work hard, and show up consistently, full-time hours are the natural next step. We're not looking to keep people part-time forever — we need a full crew and we're building toward that now.
