Clinic Overview:
Dr. Parsons is a Board Certified Cosmetic Dermatologist with a comprehensive dermatology practice along with an expanding cosmetic dermatology practice. We are now looking to add to our team.
Position Profile:
This position performs medical, and administrative tasks, on a priority basis, that support the daily operations of the clinic. These tasks may also include additional administrative support as determined by Dr. Parsons or the Office Manager.
Medical / Administrative Roles and Responsibilities:
- Patient Check-In - greeting patients in the rooms and taking a complete dermatological medical history (training will be provided)
- Calling patients with results, responding to medical related e-mails…etc
- Using our Electronic Medical Record System, (*Telus PS suite)
- Performing general clerical duties (e.g. photocopies, faxes, answer phones...etc)
- Process, track and input patient referrals
- Maintain a log for our pathology specimens
- Set up and maintain examination rooms (e.g., ordering and keeping track of medical equipment/supplies)
- Set up for procedures, assisting with procedures and cleaning up after procedures.
- Perform injections and removing stitches.
- Spraying lesions with liquid nitrogen
- Perform proper sterilization techniques, ensure all instruments are sterilized on a daily basis
- Ensure general cleanliness of clinic including waiting room, private washroom and exam rooms.
Cosmetic Roles and Responsibilities
- Selling products that are appropriate for a variety of skin conditions.
- Knowledge of products that Parsons Dermatology and Cosmetics offers
- Motivated to promote themselves and the clinic through various avenues, ie. social media is also an asset
Skills, knowledge and job requirements:
- Must be a Licensed Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario and hold a license with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a private medical clinic (preferred)
- Proficiency in computer applications: Windows, Microsoft Office. High proficiency with typing and computer skills as a must.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably Telus PS Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality.
- Capacity to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and in a team (e.g. ability to work effectively with all members of the health care team).
- Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible in a very active work environment.

Wage:
- Competitive hourly wage + bonuses and comminsion
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday
