What You’ll Do
· Perform diagnostic testing, inspection, and analysis on medium- and low-voltage switchgear, breakers, and associated protection/control circuits to evaluate equipment condition and system performance.
· Power System Studies – ETAP – short circuit, co-ordination and arc flash
· Protection Relays - Testing & Commissioning
· Transformer Testing – TTR, Winding resistance
· Generator Testing – Partial Discharge, Tan Delta, Winding Resistance
· Circuit Breaker Testing – contact resistance, timing, IR , Hipot
· CT’s, CVT’s – IR, TTR
· Execute field modifications, retrofits, and upgrades on breakers, protective relays, control wiring, and switchgear assemblies to extend service life and meet evolving system requirements.
· Carry out start-up, functional verification, and commissioning of new and refurbished power distribution equipment, ensuring compliance with CSA, IEEE, and customer standards.
· Conduct root-cause troubleshooting of complex control/protection faults and operational failures using schematics, logic diagrams, and test instrumentation.
· Provide real-time technical support and guidance to customers and field personnel via phone, online, and on-site channels.
· Develop, revise, and maintain detailed technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, as-built drawings, and operation manuals) for retrofitted or redesigned equipment.
· Perform and document preventive maintenance and condition assessments, and generate engineering recommendations for future upgrades, replacements, or reliability improvements.
What You Bring
· 5+ years of hands-on experience working with electrical power distribution equipment
* Be able to work independently
· Strong knowledge of control and protection systems
· Master Electrical License or Electrical Construction experience (preferred but not mandatory)
· Proven ability to solve problems under pressure and work independently in the field
· Excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting customers and teammates

Pay: $65,450.00-$90,425.00 per year
