Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and senior care, to improve their visual health and overall well-being. The Optometrist will utilize advanced technology such as Epic electronic health records system and possess strong patient care skills to deliver exceptional service in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health using state-of-the-art equipment.
- Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, recommending corrective lenses or treatments as necessary.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric patients, ensuring age-appropriate communication and treatment approaches.
- Manage senior care patients with tailored strategies addressing age-related ocular issues.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive measures, and available treatment options.
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate patient care plans and follow-up procedures.
- Utilize Epic electronic health records system for documentation and patient management.
- Assist in optical sales by recommending appropriate eyewear and accessories based on patient needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and optometry practices.
Experience
- Prior optical experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of vision correction solutions.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable to ensure effective communication and care delivery.
- Proven ability in patient care, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to eye health and treatments.
- Experience using Epic or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of senior care considerations related to ocular health is a plus.
- Sales experience related to optical products can enhance patient recommendations and service quality. Pay: $70,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
