Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various tools and machinery, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with industrial equipment are highly desirable.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues
- Repair electrical systems, HVAC components, and mechanical parts using appropriate tools and techniques
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed or completed
- Assist in assembly or installation of new equipment or components as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, HVAC, suspension, engine and transmission.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques is advantageous
- Valid certifications related to automotive services is mandatory

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
