L’Arche Edmonton is looking for 2 Community Support Workers for a group home in Edmonton (Night Awake).
Position 1: Three nights a week: Thursday to Saturday, 10pm to 9am (33 hours)
Position 2: Four nights a week: Sunday to Monday, 10pm to 9am (44 hours)
Responsibilities:
Support Individuals with disabilities during the night. Tasks include:

Change protective underwear, wet clothes and bedding.

Assist individuals in the washroom.

Lifting and transferring.

Attend to medical needs and monitor concerns

Perform housekeeping duties. These include:

Washing floors
-
Cleaning washrooms
-
Doing laundry
-
Watering plants
-
Other household chores
Support Individual with disabilities in the morning. Tasks include:

Medication administration
-
Personal care
-
Breakfast
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:

Grade 12 or equivalent
-
Acceptable Police Information Check that includes the Vulnerable Sector Check
Preferred:
-
Certificate in Community Support Work, Disability Studies, Social Services, Health Care Aide, or related field

Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
