You will be working with an experienced and knowledgeable team using modern machines and tools. Our shop is bright, clean, and safety is important to us.
This is a day shift full-time permanent position.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Use manual and mechanical sanders and grinders to smooth rough edges on steel parts (deburring)
- Cutting parts using saw
- Drilling parts
- Pemming parts
- Assembling and packaging steel parts
- Loading and unloading of supplies / parts on a moving conveyor and / or carts and racks
- Organizing parts as they are processed
- General shop labour duties and cross training in other areas as required
Your skills and abilities that make you stand out:
- Reliable with good attendance record
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull product weighing up to 50lbs
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality of work
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
- Forklift, Overhead Crane and Vacuum Lift experience an asset
- Computer skills
- Reliable transportation (limited public transportation)
- You must be legally able to work in Canada throughout the period of your employment.
