Job Summary
Curry Hill Restaurant is looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented Waitress to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking and serving food and beverage orders, processing payments, and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, works well in a fast-paced setting, and is committed to delivering an outstanding dining experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality.
This position requires working rotational shifts:
- Morning Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Candidates must be Bilingual and available to work full-time, including weekends and holidays, as required by the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus and explain daily specials or menu items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Check on customers during their meals to ensure satisfaction.
- Respond to customer requests and resolve complaints politely.
- Prepare and deliver bills, process cash, credit card, and digital payments.
- Set up and clear tables before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Refill beverages, condiments, and table supply as needed.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking supplies and cleaning work areas.
- Promote menu items, desserts, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Skills
- Must be available for full time or as per the requirements of the restaurant.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred; hospitality background is a plus
- Effective communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
