Hydrovac Operator
Job Summary
SINC Underground Services Inc is a contractor providing horizontal directional drilling for all utility installation services. Our operations in the Saskatoon area have a need for Hydrovac Operators.
Experienced candidates are preferred but also will train a potential candidate that would be the right fit for the company.
Current operations usually working in 3 hour travel area around Saskatoon. A portion of this work will be out of town. Subsistence will be supplied.
Applicants must have a valid drivers license (Class 1 or 3), clean abstract and ability to pass a criminal records check.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform debris removal, slot trenching, daylighting and digging
· Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding mat procedures for Hydrovac operation
· Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner
· Monitor and maintain all Hydrovac equipment; ensure all components are in good working order and adhering to maintenance schedules
· Complete all required paperwork properly on a daily basis
· Ensure proper function by performing pre and post trip inspections and general housekeeping - report any inefficiencies to Supervisor
· Complete and maintain Driver Logs per DOT Regulations
· Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment
· Follow all policies and procedures set out by Sinc Underground Services and manufacturer
· Perform other duties as assigned by manager or crew leader
Experience Required
· Experience operating Hydro Vac in Urban and Rural settings an asset
· Previous experience in the telecommunication industry considered an asset
· Knowledge of ELD based systems is considered an asset
· Certification in first aid, ground disturbance, confined spaces
Knowledge and Skills Required
· Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
· Ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolation
· Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere, must be able to lift and carry 50lbs+
· Self-disciplined, motivated, organized, and a team player
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks
Additional Requirements
· Willingness to work overtime, weekends
