MAINTENANCE GROUNDS – SUMMER STUDENT
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides maintenance and groundskeeping support to the Maintenance team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Clean grounds, repair minor damage to sod and fencing· Patrols exterior grounds, building corridors, emergency exits and stairwells, removing garbage and debris to ensure area is safe and clean.
· Prepare walls and surfaces, doors, windows, flooring, and related hardware in preparation for painting.
· Responsible for keeping work area organized and safe.
· Assist with the posting of all notices.
· Participate in the completion of bi-annual unit inspections.
· Assist maintenance labourers at other properties as required.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
· Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution
· Knowledge of general labourer requirements is an asset
· Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
· Class 7 or class 5 driver’s license with own vehicle
· Must provide a criminal record check for review and acceptance
SALARY:
$24.71 per hour **
