JOB OVERVIEW
We are a busy Canadian pub looking for an experienced and reliable chef to join our kitchen team. If you have 10–15 years of experience working in a pub or casual dining environment, thrive under pressure, and take pride in turning out great food consistently, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare and cook full pub menu items, including breakfast, pasta, pizza, soups, and sandwiches
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards throughout service
- Manage your station — prep, mise en place, and cleanliness
- Work efficiently during high-volume lunch and dinner rushes
- Collaborate with kitchen team and communicate clearly with front-of-house staff
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (FOODSAFE certification an asset)
- Assist with inventory, portioning, and minimizing food waste
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 10–15 years of professional cooking experience in a Canadian pub or casual dining kitchen
- Strong, hands-on experience with breakfast service, pasta, pizza, soups, and sandwiches
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and productive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Red Seal certification or equivalent culinary training considered an asset
