Job Summary
Our client a leader in industrial and commercial roofing and waterproofing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll Off Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of roll-off containers to and from job sites. This role requires experience with transportation of bins ranging from 10 to 40 yards as well as a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Roll Off Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely service delivery and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll-off trucks to transport containers to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload roll-off containers using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding schedules and service needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the maintenance of vehicles, including basic automotive repairs as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and care in the operation of the vehicle and organization of the truck and equipment.
Experience
- Must be able to operate standard transmission truck.
- Must have experience moving bins from 10 to 40 yards
- A background in construction or roofing required
- Must hold a valid AZ or DZ licence and a clear drivers abstract.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Skills in forklift operation as asset
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial for vehicle maintenance tasks.
