Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable AZ Driver (manual only) for our afternoon Linehaul run. The shift would start at between 3pm - 5pm and you will be making trips to the GTA each day . The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight, equipment, and personnel to various locations while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service. The Driver will operate a range of vehicles and heavy equipment, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation functions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and equipment between locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of shipments
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Assist with vehicle maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
- Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize routes and delivery schedules
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively in various environments
